Getting a good ctr (click through rate) is one of the biggest issues a Google Adsense publisher can encounter. I see it a million times. You spend a lot of money on driving traffic to your beautiful website and get 1000 impressions a day. However you don’t get one click. This could drive the average marketer insane! There are two fundamental mistakes that a publisher makes when it comes to a good ctr.

The first and biggest mistake is finding a hot keyword. Yes placing your ads in the right position is important. However having a good keyword is probably the most important factor in having a good ctr. Think about it, if you’re looking for a certain keyword like say, “Hot Pad.” If you have a bad back, and your looking for relief. A hot pad is a keyword that you might be searching for. You will continue to search for this keyword until you find relief. This might mean that you will continue to click on ads until you find the right information. Now “Hot Pad” is just an example, but it is a good one. If the keyword is hot, people will continue to look for information until they are satisfied. This means good money for you, if you have a keyword like this. Alternatively if you have a keyword like, “biscuit recipe,” people are not going to keep searching for a term like this.

The next mistake people make when they want to improve their ctr with Google adsense, is not having relevant ads on there website. If your keyword is hot pads and you have Google ads that say hot tires, than you will not make much money. The best way to cure this is by writing crisp seo articles. Your article should be at least 400 words long. Your keyword should be in the title. You should mention your keyword at least 4 times in your articles. You should place your keyword in the first and last sentence of your article.

If you follow these two simple tips, you can increase your ctr by at least 30%.

First off what is market value? Some people confuse this with cpc (cost per click). I have been burned many times targeting keywords that had a high $16 cpc. My thinking was that if this keyword had a high cpc, than it would obviously have a good market value, wrong! A good market value means that people are actually searching for these terms and advertisers are bidding money on these keywords through adwords.

Why does Google say that certain keywords have high cpc, but turn out to have no market value? That is the million dollar question, I really don’t know the answer to this, I actually believe that a lot of people don’t know the answer to this, even so called gurus. It really doesn’t matter. What matters most is finding those keywords that have good market value. There is one sure fire way to find out if a Google Adsense Keyword has good market value.

1: Find the keyword you want to target.

2: Head over to Google Search and type the keyword inside the search box (lets use blemished tires, you will see my website blemished tires on the first page)

If you look over to the right-side of the search, you should see little Google Ads (Google Adwords). These are advertisers, they have bid at least $2 (for my keyword blemished tires) to get to the first page of the search. Depending on the number of ads, this could be a good keyword. If you count the ads you will notice that there are 8 competing ads. This is good, however it is not perfect! You could have as much as 11 competing ads. You could also have as low as 4. I like to shoot for at least 7-11. If there are no ads that appear on your search, this maybe a sign that your Google Adsense keyword may not have good market value, think about it, if no one is bidding for that keyword, it may not be a very profitable keyword.

Is there a tool that can tell me if a keyword has good market value? Yes sure there is, I use market samurai to automate this process. They actually have a free trial running, so if you want to try it out, now is the best time. I have a link to market samurai under my recommendations categories on the right hand side of the page.

Automation is cool, however you should still learn how to do it manually as well. Okay in my next post we will go over more keyword research. I go over keyword research a lot because I believe 95% of creating a profitable Google adsense website is based on good keyword research!

I touched on this before, however I want to talk a little bit more about this. The reason I stress good Google Adsense keyword research is two fold. One it can save you a lot of money on off-page seo. That’s right, if you pick the wrong keyword for Adsense it could cost you a lot of money on off-page seo. Off-page Seo is building backlinks (article marketing, forum and blog posting etc) back to your website.

If you have to do off-page seo, stay away from spam backlinks or automation. Only use hand made backlinks! If you do proper keyword research, the need for backlinks is limited. Most of my sites like, blemishedtires.net or jeansforbigthighs.net have no backlinks. However they are both on the first page of google making me money. How do you find these keywords?

There are a million ways to find these keywords. However i will give you one way. Number one, always look for keywords that are based around a product or physical object. Here is a keyword that I found that has spun a few good Google Adsense sniper sites. The keyword is “screw.” Yeah this keyword doesn’t look like much, however this keyword fits two fundamental criterion’s. Number one, low competition, and a good market value. If you can find these two combinations, you may have a good Google adsense keyword.

In my next post I will show you how to determine if a keyword has good market value.

If you have never made a dime with online marketing, the fastest and easitest way to accomplish that is with Google Adsense. In fact, newbie’s who start off with Google Adsense, go on to make more money than those who start off in affiliate marketing. I bet your wondering why that is. It’s simple, with adsense you’re not trying to sell anything. So what am I providing?

To earn adsense revenue you only have to provide quality information. To provide good information you need a good keyword. In this post I will only cover the basics for finding a good keyword. The biggest mistake you can make in adsense marketing is picking the wrong keyword. When I started off with adsense I tried to target words that I thought people were looking for, like “how to make money.” I also use to target single keywords like “cars.” This cost me a lot of time and wasted money. What keywords should I target?

To be honest this is a highly debated subject. Most gurus will tell you to target the evergreen markets like… Weight loss, debt, credit, loans. There is no problem with that. However this is not my philosophy. These niches are to over saturated! I know some people might tell you that if there is no competition there is no money. This is true to a degree. But there are a lot of other hidden keywords out there if you know where to look. The reason I have been so successful with sniper sites is because I mainly only target physical products. Here’s my reasoning, say you’re looking for tires for your car. However you don’t have the money to pay for new tires. But you need tires because your tires are in bad shape. If you were desperately looking for tires for your car, you are in what I call a clicking mode. What is a clicking mode?

A clicking mode means that you will keep clicking Google ads until you find what you’re looking for. This is why I only target physical objects. People who are desperately looking for these projects are in a clicking mode. I will cover more keyword research in my up coming post.

Welcome to Google Adsense Revenue, my name is Tim. You have probably reached this site because your looking to make more money or start making money with Google adsense. I first started off in internet marketing about 5 years ago. Like most, I really didn’t make to much money my first two years. It was not until about 3 years ago I started reading about Google Sniper Sites. Basically a sniper is a site that is created to focus 100% on a single keyword. What makes Google sniper sites so great?

The Reason Google loves these sites are for a couple of reasons. First Google is the top dog for a reason. They provide internet surfers exactly what they are looking for. Let’s say you are really looking for a pair of jeans, but you have very big thighs. If you head over to Google search and type in “pair of jeans.” You could spend hours if not days looking for “jeans for big thighs.” But now let’s type in “jeans for big thighs.” When you type this into Google you will notice that my site appears. The reason my site is number one I s because Google places a higher priority on Google sniper sites! They also place a higher Authority because my site is focused 100% on that keyword. Why is this important?

If Google gives your site priority, that means you have received Google love. Google love translates to mean traffic. Traffic translates to MONEY! In contrast a site that targets more than one keyword will have a harder time ranking than a website that only targets one keyword. The other benefit of Google Sniper Sites is that you will not have to spend a boat load of money on off-page seo and backlinks. If you have been online for any length of time, than you know that off-page Seo is the biggest expense that you will incur. Do I need a lot of backlinks for Google Sniper Sites?

If you check my website “Jeans for big thighs,” you will notice that it has no backlinks. Sniper sites need little to no backlinks to rank on the first page. Google sniper sites are a great way to make easy money online. If you have never made money online before, Google sniper sites are the easiest way for you to make your first buck! Is there anything else I need to know?

You also need to learn about keyword research, that is what Google sniper sites are about. That’s right, 95% of this process is keyword research. I will have to touch on that in my next post. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me, thanks Tim.
